CAN I REALLY TAKE A POLE CLASS?
Of course you can!
We think that all of these reasons are great excuses, but none are great reasons to avoid trying something you really want to do. Pole is like any other physical activity. You come to class to get better and stronger. The more you do a thing, the better you become at that thing. The real question is, do you want to try?
POLE PARTY VS
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A POLE PARTY AND A POLE CLASS?
Pole Parties are more novelty while a Pole Class is more commonplace.
A Pole Party is great for a group of girls who want to try Pole Dancing together for fun or just to see if they like it. It often helps girls decide if they want to join weekly classes or not.
Why is there a price difference?
Pole Parties are not part of the Studio's regularly scheduled program therefore instructors need to adjust their own personal schedules to host the party. Parties are also more dedicated to the needs of the individuals in the group attending, which means the instructor has a more difficult job to do than her usual weekly class.
WHAT IS OPEN POLE?
TIME TO LET IT ALL GO...
Open Pole is not a Pole Class.
It is scheduled studio time for students to come in and practice their 'Pole Goals'. There is always an instructor or an advanced student in the studio during Open Pole but there is no class curriculum being instructed. It is not recommenced to come to Open Pole if you have not taken at least 3 Pole Classes with us or another pole studio.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
DO NOT WEAR LOTION.
We repeat, do not put lotion or
moisturizer on before you come to class. You will slip right off the pole. Do not wear jewelry. No rings, bracelets or long necklaces. These items will damage our poles and interfere with your workout.
ARE MEN ALLOWED?
Men are welcome to take classes if they are truly there to participate and learn. Scarlet Studio values our students and we strive to make everyone (male or female) comfortable and welcome in all of our classes.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A POLE CLASS?

Typically Scarlet Studio Pole Classes (Beginner Pole, Pole Tricks and Pole Flow) all have similar base curriculums:
A Warm Up of course is super important in any group exercise. Pole Conditioning Drills are designed to help students become familiar with movements that are used in Pole Dance and help them become a stronger more confident pole dancer. A Free-Style is a time where we encourage each student to stop thinking and just dance. We usually cut the lights and dance in the dark for a song or two. (It is extremely freeing). Each class will have a different subject matter that is planned out by your instructor and a cool down is usually a series of stretches that incorporates muscles groups used in class.
A FLOOR WORK CLASS
A class that utilizes the floor as its primary apparatus.
Liquid Motion ® is a program that teaches students how to achieve seamless and natural movement. It emcompasses basic dance theory, sensual movement, self-exploration and body awareness. If you wish to develop more fluidy, individual style and challenge your creativity this is a great class to take. We suggest dressing in layers (fitted pants, leg warmers, long sleeves, knees pads) for a more comfortable movement experience.
